Citizens rallied today at 401 9th Street, NW in Washington at the building housing the meeting of Trump appointees to the National Capital Planning Commission who rubberstamped Trump's plans to build a ballroom in place of the East Wing of the White House he illegally torn down.
Citizens resist the construction of a ballroom to be constructed for billionaires which Trump said earlier is needed so women in "high heels" don't have their shoes sinking in grass at White House events.
Yesterday U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon halted construction until and if Congress approves Trump's plans for the crony ballroom which is part of the White House, Judge Leon said, and is not Trump's to change as if he is the owner.
One sign today said: "Hands Off the People's House." Another: "The People's House Is Not For $ale."
Knowing he is despised in Washington, one person said she believes Trump is trying to tear down and desecrate the city.
Public Citizen sponsored the protest rally where Jon Golinger, a spokesman, displayed stacks of boxes containing copies of 35,000 messages or 97% of letters received, sent to the Capital Planning Commission protesting the ballroom construction.
Per usual, the Trump administration continues its practice of ignoring the will of the people.
